You would think that most guys would know how to do this, but I guess that's not always the case. It's also a good example of never assume anything.
I have to admit this is a thorough run down on penis cleaning. It's penis cleaning at its best. They get into everything, from how to clean an uncircumcised penis to dealing with smegma (they explain smegma well). And it's very clinical, with a few images.
Growing up, no one ever gave me the rundown on how or what I should do to keep my penis clean […] I’ve never read any reliable answer beyond washing it with water. Do I use soap? Any soap? How normal is smegma? If my penis gets itchy from smegma should I go see a doctor? If so, my GP or a urologist? — Anonymous

To take all this one more step, I think it would be educational to practice on your boyfriend. He would love this.
Dude Is Your Penis Normal?
You know, I could post boring crap about political events and make all kinds of self-indulgent comments, but I think there's already enough of that in the world. No one needs more of it. So here's a wonderful article that talks about normal penises. Just please keep in mind this is Teen Vogue so you most likely won't be learning anything too important.
With that said, it's not an article totally void of merit either. They get into things like whether or not porn provides and accurate depiction of penises, and whether or not the size of a penis matters. And I didn't see anything offensive at all about it. It's totally SFW.
The one thing that did bother me was the part about circumcision. All articles like this always make light of male circumcision in such glib ways. And I don't agree. I believe male circumcision is not only one of the worst forms of mutilation, but it also takes about choices from men. Give men the right to choose, too.
