A Rainbow Bridge In Leeds; The Gay Globe Trotter; Chris Colfer From Glee's TV Comeback

A Rainbow Bridge In Leeds
I believe anything like this can only help, not hurt.
The city of Leeds in the UK constructs a rainbow bridge for equality.
Leeds local, Thomas Wales, wanted to highlight the changing, progressive landscape of the city.
Wales told Gay Star News: ‘For me, it is a shining beacon that brightly highlights the fact that the LGBT community don’t have to hide away.

‘We’re part of the fabric of the city.

And I think the umbrella that covers the entire LGBT community is a lot wider than most of us realize.

The Gay Globe Trotter
I'm always fascinated by people who do things like this because I think of the LGBT community as a global community. And this guy is taking some risks.
In any event...
As the Product Manager for adventure holiday experts Exodus – which offers tailor-made group trips as well as trips with a set departure date – Simon has also been to several countries not typically considered ‘gay’ destinations.

These include Armenia, Russia, Cuba and Sri Lanka. And while he knows they won’t be for all LGBTI travelers, he loved them.

You can check this one out here. It's an in-depth interview.

Chris Colfer From Glee's TV Comeback

As a hybrid author who has gone rogue many times, I like to see things like this happening.

Chris Colfer is taking it upon himself to craft his own TV comeback.

The out actor and author has teamed with Sonar Entertainment to develop a pilot for the sci-fi drama Indigo that he would write, direct and star in.

‘Very excited for this! Fingers crossed,’ Colfer wrote on Instagram Friday (17 February).

More here. The article goes on to mention a few more of his publishing credits that I didn't even know existed.

Judging Mike Pence's Marriage; The Kilted Scotsman Gets Hate Mail; 90 Year Old WWII Trans Vet

Judging Mike Pence's Marriage

I've never been a huge fan of Mike Pence, and that's based strictly on his record regarding LGBT rights. I don't get personal, I don't shame, and I don't care much about his personal life. However, this article that seems to be judging Pence's marriage really irritates me. It sounds as if it's written by someone who has never been married or never been in a long term successful relationship.

A new exposé published by the Washington Post on the Vice President and his wife paints a chilling portrait of an unusually close relationship between a husband and wife.

“They are in a strong, supportive marriage bound by common faith,” Peter Rusthoven, who has known the Pences for more than 25 years, says. “I don’t think they make decisions separately.”

But is it really “strong” and “supportive,” or is it more creepy, co-dependent, and controlling? You decide…

There you are. The rest is here.

About ten years ago someone asked me if I wanted to join her for dinner at a local bar/restaurant in New Hope on a weeknight for dinner. She wasn't a good friend; just an acquaintance. Back then Tony was travelling a lot on business and I was home alone during the week. No complaints. I didn't mind being alone and I've always had enough work to keep me busy. But even though I was free to go to dinner with her, I declined the invitation and I simply told this woman the truth and said I don't care to go out to dinner without my husband. She didn't get that. And I didn't care. I was only being honest. I didn't want to go out without my husband, plain and simple. It's not up for debate. Tony wouldn't mind, but I didn't want to go. Every marriage has its own way of working and I don't think anyone has the right to pass judgment on that.

The Kilted Scotsman Gets Hate Mail

I think I may have mentioned that I started using comment moderation here on the blog because of the hate comments I was getting. I even had a death threat. I've received e-mails and DMs like that, too. I didn't cry or complain. I sucked it up and moved forward. Because that's what you do when someone sends you hate mail.

With that said, the Kilted Scotsman who poses for semi-nude photos in a kilt that I posted about back in February got a snail mail hate letter and he's not pleased at all.

It said threatening stuff like ‘you need to watch yourself’ and they said they’d been watching my videos online and that they want me to get out. I don’t really know anyone in the building. My friends have been saying they didn’t realize this sort of thing still happened in this day and age.

“I was upset at first, but now I am furious, because someone’s aim is to intimidate me and terrorize me into leaving my home because of their own bigoted beliefs. The people who do this sort of thing need to know that their views are unacceptable and the majority of people won’t tolerate it.”

You can check that out here.

90 Year Old WWII Trans Vet

Now  here's something inspiring for a change. If all the news read like this and we could figure out a way to filter out the rest of the garbage the media shoves in our direction, life would be near perfection.

At the age of 90, Davies decided to follow through on a feeling she’s had her entire life — she’s transgender and finally ready to live it.

Davies, who was born Peter, says she’s known her true gender since she was just a toddler.

“I’ve known I was transgender since I was 3 years old. I knew a girl called Patricia, and I decided I wanted to be known by that name but it didn’t stick,” Davies told Caters News Agency.

You can check that out here, and there's a photo.

I actually knew a trans woman who was a WWII vet who lived and worked in New Hope for many years. We called her, "Mother," affectionately. And she was loved by all. Here's a photo of her grave that I took myself. She would have loved this attention.

A Gay, Black, Married Santa; Chris Colfer's First Trip To NY; Jack Falahee On Playing Gay Face

A Gay, Black, Married Santa

This is about a new children's book where Santa is gay, black, and married.

Bored of seeing the same old white Santa? Well you’re in luck.

A new children’s book will depict jolly old Saint Nick as a gay black married man, publisher Harper Design announced.

Santa’s Husband will tell the tale of Santa, who is black, and his husband, who is white, both of whom live and work in the North Pole.

You can check that out here.

Chris Colfer's First Trip To NY

When you grow up in the New York/northern New Jersey area you take it for granted, and you forget that people from other places are intimidated by NYC. But they are, and this is a classic case.

‘Getting into the taxi of a complete stranger was the most terrifying experience of my life up to that point. I was convinced that I would be whisked away and murdered like one of the victims in The Bone Collector.

‘I was too afraid to look my driver in the eye or try pronouncing his foreign name (it was Gerald, by the way). The taxi’s door locks were broken and clicked loudly whenever the vehicle accelerated, so naturally, I thought gangsters were shooting at us.’

You can read the rest here. It's an adorable article. I would like to add that if I had been expecting a friend who'd never been to NY, I would have driven to the airport and picked them up myself. Even in NY, that's what friends do. They pick their friends up. So don't be mislead about NY from his experience. Unfortunately, his friends suck.

Jack Falahee On Playing Gay Face

I never know how to react to these things. On the one hand I do think Falahee is sincere about his experience. That's not something I doubt. However, I can't help wondering how this would sound if they had made him up in black face and hired him to play a black male character. And then there's the straight splaining that always comes afterward. Whenever a straight guy plays gay face, it never fails.

‘Going into this, it was never written on the page that “Connor Walsh is a homosexual,” so when it came to the first love scene I just thought, “Wow, this guy is willing to do whatever it takes to get ahead” and now I know that was the heteronormativity in my mind back then that was rationalizing this whole aspect of his character.

‘It wasn’t until [series creator] Pete Nowalk was like “Oh no, Connor is gay” that I’ve been really trying to become a student of the history of LGBTQ rights and learning more about the struggle of those in the past and in the present day.

Here's the rest. I'm not going to comment at length. That would be a much longer post. But don't you love the way he says "homosexual?" I know I'm impressed. Go Hollywood.

What This Drag Guy Does With an Egg; Straight British Comedian Thinks Gays Have It Easier? Lily Tomlin and 9 To 5

What This Drag Guy Does With an Egg

Say what you will, but this is not totally without merit. A guy putting on make up for drag uses a hard boiled egg to blend the make up.

“This kind of feels like a really cold silly sponge but it smells like sewage, like eggs, so… that’s a turn-off,” he crows, tamping foundation into his cheeks. “But it’s actually doing a pretty good job. I really like how cold this is… it’s like super refreshing, too!”

You can check that out here. It's funny, and it seems to work well. And I spent way too much time watching it for some reason I can't even explain.

Straight British Comedian Thinks Gays Have It Easier?

There's a straight British comedian who thinks gay dating is so much easier than straight dating. But it's not quite as simple (or offending) as the article suggests.

Is life “simpler” for gay people?

According to British actor, comedian, and TV personality David Williams, yes. In fact, he wishes he were gay because everything would be so. Much. Easier.

“I do love women and I’m attracted to women,” Williams said recently to Attitude in an interview, “but sometimes I think it would be simpler if I wasn’t.”

You can read more of this here. And you really do have to read the entire piece. As most people in the comments suggest, the article is somewhat misleading.

I really hate when this happens. I only want to post and link. I'm not trying to be a journalist with this blog. It's the last thing I want to do in life. But I find that you just can't trust anything anymore, not even if you're just linking.

Side note: According to the comments they even spelled this comedian's name wrong. I never heard of him so I honestly don't know. So don't quote me on this one. I'm only linking.

Lily Tomlin and 9 to 5

I have to admit I never saw 9 to 5, and I didn't know who Lily Tomlin was until I started watching Grace and Frankie. But I love her in G&F so I thought this was relevant.

Turns out Tomlin wanted to split only one week into production.

According to Fonda, 9 to 5‘s co-star and co-producer, it took a whole year to get Tomlin and Parton to commit to the project:

You can finish that one here. I have to watch 9 to 5 now.

Alexander Skarsgard Full Frontal Male Nudity "Big Little Lies;" Mexico's Sexist Penis Seats On Trains; What Is Your Penis Worth?

Alexander Skarsgard Full Frontal Male Nudity "Big Little Lies"

I have to admit that I started watching Big Little Lies and stopped after a few episodes. But let me explain why. I didn't like the characters and I think it could be because they were too heteronormative for me. It's a great show and it's well done, but I couldn't relate to much, and I lost interest fast. I have no interest in watching straight people cheat on each other.

However, I may have to revisit this one.

Sunday's penultimate episode of HBO's Big Little Lies was packed with plenty of drama and conversation, but it was Perry's (Alexander Skarsgård) penis that stole the show. (Apologies to Madeline, whose production of Avenue Q, an actual show, finally opened on last night's episode). If you're keeping count, yes, this is the second time Alexander has gone full frontal on the network, some four years after introducing the world to every part of his glorious body on the season six finale of True Blood. It was a beautiful moment that lasted a mere three to four seconds because Eric began to burn. And, well, you know the rest.

You can check that out here.

Mexico's Sexist Penis Seats On Trains

This is a creative way to battle sexual harassment. And to get a point across.

The Mexico City Metro has installed a 'sexist seat' - complete with a flaccid penis - on its network to highlight the repeated sexual harassment women face on trains every day.

The chair has been modified to have the appearance of a man, including a bare chest, nipples and penis.

You can check that out here.

What Is Your Penis Worth?

Here's a story about how full frontal nudity actually works in Hollywood with regard to money. Evidently, some e-mails were leaked about full frontal in Game of Thrones, and one section was of particular interest.

But that wasn't the most amazing part of this email. The amazing part was learning what an actor gets paid for wagging his penis on screen for less than a few seconds. And that’s just the first of many cash-for-schlong revelations we had this week.

I'd like to know what Skarsgard got for his penis, and if the pay varies from dick to dick.

You can check that out here.

Tom Atwood: Queer Heroes; Baby Jane Parody; Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race

Tom Atwood: Queer Heroes

I think the only thing I love more than books is good art. The world can be such a dismal place, but art makes it so much better. You can lose yourself in a good work of art almost the same way you can in a book.

Here's a story about Tom Atwood and a series he did about Queer Heroes:

Photographer Tom Atwood’s second book is a feast for the eyes, propping up LGBTQ heroes who break the mold. Over the course of fifteen years, he documented these intriguing and eccentric personalities in their own homes for Kings & Queens in Their Castles.

You can check it out here. I love all the photos shown. It's interesting to see Jim McGreevey after all this time. I'll never forget the day he made the announcement that he was a gay American when he was Governor of New Jersey. I didn't see that one coming. I'd seen him in person at a parade in Lambertville, NJ a few months earlier and he looked like the typical straight married man.

Baby Jane Parody

It's no secret that there's a generation of gay men who are devoted to the cult classic Bette Davis/Joan Crawford movie, Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. I had one baby boomer friend once who could quote the film almost line for line.

Here's a story about a parody of the film that was done a while ago.

Rolling Stone has unearthed a 20-year-old short film by David LaChapelle that is shockingly relevant to today. It’s a Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? parody reimagined with Courtney Love and Madonna impersonators.

The grotesque film was shot back in 1996, when both women were at peak points in their careers. Courtney was rock-and-roll’s “it” girl and a raging mess, and Madonna was right on the cusp of clinching icon status and wasn’t about to let anyone get in her way. The two couldn’t have been more different, or more similar.

You can check that out here.

Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race

They tried to turn this story into something depressing and political, but I don't like that kind of shoddy journalism. Don't tell me how to feel or think. I'd rather look at RuPaul's Drag Race as a means of good entertainment that people enjoy watching. And, it shows a side to gay culture a lot of people don't normally get a chance to see.

With that said, here are 8 reasons to celebrate the 9th season of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Queer children typically don’t have queer parents, so we only pass down our stories when we can find each other. Since the AIDS crisis decimated a generation of queer men, it became even harder to link us to our rich, vibrant past. Ru helps maintain that connection by teaching the children about living legends like John Waters, cultural documents like Paris Is Burning and significant events like the Stonewall Riots. The queer community has traveled a long, hard road, and Drag Race honors the people who got us here.

You can check this out here. I'd also like to mention that not all of us identify as "queer," but we still enjoy watching RuPaul's Drag Race from time to time.  And that's a celebration of diversity in itself.

Elton John: Eminem Not Homophobic; More On the Father Daughter Transgenders; Hugh Jackman's Big Penis

Elton John: Eminem Not Homophobic

I never thought Eminem was homophobic, but I know a lot of people who do. And now Elton John is coming to his defense.

Elton John has defended his friend Eminem from accusations of homophobia, saying: I’ll fight for anyone who is misunderstood and misrepresented by the idiots out there.’

The British icon added in an interview with Zane Low for Beats 1: ‘I’m always a supporter of the people that are getting trashed. For me Eminem was never homophobic,’ reports ET Canada.

There's more here. So far one person has commented and he doesn't seem to agree.

More On the Father Daughter Transgenders

I think this is worth sharing because it educates people a little more about trans people. And the truth is that most people don't know or understand anything about trans people. I'm still learning, too.

Around the same time, Corey’s mother was starting to question his own gender identity.

Eric Maison tells the Huffington Post he started to question himself after watching a documentary on trans teen Jazz Jennings.

Eric said: ‘It was like all of the feelings I’d had of being uncomfortable in my own skin made sense.

‘At the time, I also recognized my own child in this little girl, so I shared it with Corey, and she said “She’s like me!”‘

There's more here, with a video.

Hugh Jackman's Big Penis

The topic of Hugh Jackman's penis size came up again, and this time it was with Howard Stern.

He furthermore clarifies: ‘It’s in the everything’s fine category!’ When Howard asks if that means over six inches, Hugh says ‘Yeah…’

The radio interview has gained traction as Hugh steps back into the limelight to play Wolverine for the last time in movie Logan.

There's more here. Hugh doing full frontal male nudity is also discussed. It's all in fun. It's Hugh Jackman, probably one of the nicest men on the planet.

Stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival; Those Hot Naked Orlando Bloom Pics; Gay Men and Misogyny

Stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival

I know this sounds like fake news, but it's real.

Every year in Yulin, China they celebrate a dog meat festival...where they eat dog meat.

This is from Wiki...

The Lychee and Dog Meat Festival, commonly referred to as Yulin Dog Meat Festival, is an annual celebration held in Yulin, Guangxi, China, during the summer solstice in which festival goers eat dog meat and lychees. The festival spans about ten days during which it is estimated that 10,000–15,000 dogs are consumed. The festival has been criticised by animal welfare and animal rights supporters.

If this makes you as livid as it does me, you can go to this web site to sign a petition that's trying to stop this hideous, backward, ridiculous practice.

The rest of the dogs are captured strays from the streets and some raised in dog farms. After these animals are stolen, bought, or captured they are then transported for days without any food or water, crammed in tiny cages together so tightly that they are unable to even move. At the yulin festival, throughout those days, these animals will be hung, burned, skinned, boiled, torched, dismembered, electrocuted and beaten...ALIVE..out in the streets for public view.

You can read the rest here. There seem to be a lot of people working hard to stop this from happening. Signing the petition might help if enough people do it.

Those Hot Naked Orlando Bloom Pics

Last summer naked full frontal photos of Orlando Bloom went public. And Boy George is talking about them now. I don't know why. But that's what he's doing. I know I posted about them somewhere on this blog, but I have forgotten about them and I'm too lazy to link right now.

As we dive into spring, which is really just the preamble to summer, let us not forget the summer of ’16. Yes, the nastiest political election in recorded American history was sucking energy out of thin air with an alarming rate, but another thing happened that summer.

Here's the rest.

Gay Men and Misogyny

I've often wondered about this myself. I've seen gay men who don't even want to be near women. I don't get it, I was never like that, and I never became too friendly with any gay men who are like this. I just don't get it, but I do think it's true in some cases.

In an op-ed titled Sorry, Gay Guys, I’m Not Here For Your Casual Misogyny published by NewNowNext last week, writer Nico Lang says misogyny among gay men is still alive and well.

“We all know someone who loudly proclaims how grossed out he is by vaginas,” Lang writes. “Then there are the guys who think its fine to drunkenly toggle a woman’s breasts in a bar because he’s not attracted to her.”

The article goes into a lot more depth and it's worth reading in full. I'd like to make a huge point of stating that not all gay men are like this.

Here's the rest.

Bruno Gmünder Goes Bust; Be Troye Sivan's Date To GLAAD Awards; Cheating On You With Your Best Friend

Bruno Gmünder Gay Publisher Goes Bust

This is upsetting to me because I've been published in more books and magazines than I can count with Bruno Gmunder. I've posted about most of them here. I always loved working with them, I loved their editors, and I loved their content with respect to gay culture as I've always known it. It's authentic gay content, not contrived or diluted.

Last week, it was already announced their German top magazine, Männer, would stop its print issues and switch to being online only.

But now news broke the company filed for bancruptcy with the Charlottenburg district court in Berlin on 15 March.

It is the second time in three years Bruno Gmünder went bust.

But here is hope. They are still operating and they are focusing on the long term.

You can check this out here. I'm posting a few of their books below. I make no money on them because I've already been paid a flat rate, however, I would imagine everything helps at this point. You might find something you want to purchase.

Be Troye Sivan's Date To GLAAD Awards

This should get you excited.

However, the Youth singer is going to extraordinary lengths to find a +1 to this year’s GLAAD Media Awards.

In fact, he’s opened it up to competition.
Furthermore, the lucky winner will even get to take their own +1 to the ceremony in LA on 1 April.

Here's the rest. Not much to comment on with this one.

Cheating On You With Your Friend

This is probably one of the worst things that can happen to a relationship. It breaks the trust and I'm not sure anyone can ever fully recover from it. I think there's even a certain creep factor here. If someone will sleep with your friend they'll sleep with anyone.

It's only a simple poll, but it asks a complicated question: "Has Your Partner Ever Cheated On You With One Of Your Friends?"

You can check that out here.

The Gay Cowboy; American Crime Story and Donatella Versace; James Franco's Gay Threesome

The Gay Cowboy

During a time when most gay news these days seems to consist of Trump and Trump family bashing in the worst possible ways, or RuPaul and fringe drag stories that I can't relate to, this story is refreshing.

There's this young guy named Josh Goyne and they call him The Gay Cowboy. He lives in a remote part of Australia and deals with homophobia all the time.

“Today I was asked if I thought it was good that gays died of AIDS, and then the guy said he wished it was 1850 so he could shoot me for being a fag,” 18-year-old Goyne said in a recent video posted to his Facebook page.

“Kudos to you mate,” Goyne replied. “You’re a real prick and I hope everything that comes to you is karma.”

This dude is not about to let anyone silence him. Here's the rest

American Crime Story and Donatella Versace

The crime story about Gianni Versace and Andrew Cunanan has always fascinated me because in addition to murdering Versace, Cunanan also murdered a caretaker at a New Jersey park. I come from that part of New Jersey originally and I used to jog at that same park every morning. I know it well, and I even used this park as the setting in one of my novels...A Young Widow's Promise.

Five days later, Cunanan, who took Miglin's car, found his fourth victim in Pennsville, New Jersey, at the Finn's Point National Cemetery, killing 45-year-old caretaker William Reese.[8] While the manhunt focused on Reese's truck, Cunanan "hid in plain sight" in Miami Beach, Florida, for two months between his fourth and fifth murders.[9] He even used his own name to pawn a stolen item, knowing that police routinely check pawn shop records for stolen merchandise.

So I'll be watching this one.

Murphy has chosen Penelope Cruz (Vanilla Sky, Vicki Christina Barcelona) to take on the role of the fashion designer/vice president of The Versace Group.

You can check this out here, and there are photos of Cruz as Donatella.

James Franco's Gay Threesome

James Franco is part of a gay threesome in I Am Michael, and of course everyone's at least a little curious. Franco knows what he's doing and I'm tired of trying to figure him out. The biggest problem for me is that I usually wind up liking whatever Franco does, even if I don't always agree with the way he goes about doing it. And that can be tricky.

As I Am Michael subtly, perhaps even imperceptibly, makes its way to the wide world of VOD, we’ve stumbled upon footage from the promised (simulated) threesome between Zachary Quinto, Charlie Carver, and James Franco.

How sexy is it? Well, that depends on how you define sexy.

You can check that out here. There are gifs with arms, legs, and pants flying around in so many different directions you won't know where to look first. I think Franco is on top, as he always is, on top. But don't quote me on that.

A Young Widow's Promise

For my readers who only read m/m romance. You might want to check this one out sometime. There is a m/m romance in the storyline and it's not your typical historical romance novel. It's different. Here's the blurb...

Felecia Roundtree is thirty-seven years old, she's already lost her husband in battle, and prays each morning her two young sons live to see another day. With her own two hands, she's turned the front of her property at remote Locust Point, NJ, into a burial ground for unknown Confederate prisoners of war, hoping someone will return a kind gesture to her own loved ones. Then one morning in August, just after she has a vision of her dead husband, three Confederate prisoners of war turn up at her doorstep begging for mercy. One is near death; the other two aren’t much better. Though she's reluctant at first to help the enemy, she offers them food and shelter, and then eventually begins the romance of her lifetime with a young old Confederate named Calvin. When she learns a deep dark secret about the other two Confederates, she’s not sure what to think. Felecia has no idea she's even falling in love. Nor does she realize she’s preserving an important part of American History. But she’s true to her promise every step of the way.

"Hey Qween" and "Dragula;" RIP Walter Cessna; Reality Show About Underpants and Penis Bulge

"Hey Qween" and "Dragula"

I'm posting this to show how diverse gay culture can be. For all I know, and I've been gay most of my life, these people are speaking a foreign language. I have no idea what they're talking about.

All nine contestants of the ?hit YouTube series? “Dragula: Search for the World’s First Drag Supermonster” have returned and are ready to weigh in on all the drama from the debut season.

“Drag is blowing up, which is amazing, but there is a certain section of people that aren’t getting the spotlight they deserve,” explained the Boulet Brothers to reunion host Jonny McGovern.

You can read the rest here.

Seriously. I have more in common with my straight friends. But this is how diverse gay culture is.

RIP Walter Cessna

This is sad. He lived a fascinating life, though.

teenage publishing wunderkind, an underage club kid, a zinester, and a designer, stylist and darling of the fashion world. He styled Nine Inch Nails’ Downward Spiral Tour; he dated Mario Testino when he was 18 years old. He was a hustler in San Francisco, a photographer in New York. He’s battled addiction and has been living with HIV for year—facts about which he maintains a gleefully dark sense of humor. He’s been in multiple comas.

You can read  more about him here

Reality Show About Underpants and Penis Bulge

Of course they aren't promoting this show the way I just did in the headline, but that's really what it is. I have no problem whatsoever with things like this, but be honest about it. Don't play games. I think people are sick and tired of that.

“Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be surrounded by underwear models all day?” Christian asks haltingly, flanked by adult stars Topher DiMaggio and Arad Winwin.

Actually, I haven't spent much time wondering about that. I spend more time trying to avoid bad dialogue tags with hideous adverbs like "haltingly."

Here's the rest.  The comments are excellent.

You Tube's Family Friendly Filter; Colton Haynes As A Dad; America's First Trans Judge Can't Get Into India

You Tube's Family Friendly Filter

A lot of people don't realize that this kind of thing happens all the time. I've seen it happen with web sites where e-books are sold. Anything with LGBT content comes with a warning. It doesn't have to be erotic or adult we know adult material to be. All it has to be is LGBT content...the most basic G rated LGBT content...and it's considered adult content in the mainstream.

With that said, You Tube has a family friendly filter that blocks LGBT content.

Restricted Mode, aiming to filter out ‘more mature content’ and is switched off by default.

However if you turn it on, videos that use community flagging, age-restrictions and ‘other signals’ to identify what is potentially inappropriate content.

Gay YouTube personality Calum McSwiggan turned on the family filter and discovered all of his videos except for one disappeared.

You Tube has offered an apology, but I don't think it's very strong. I want more. I think this kind of thing just continues to promote shame.  You can read the rest here.

Colton Haynes As A Dad

I think this is all speculation. Nothing definite has been said.

The newly-engaged actor seems to be dropping some big paternal hints on Instagram in the last 24 hours.

The former Arrow and Teen Wolf cast member has changed his bio to read: ‘Uncle. Soon to be father. Traveler. Actor. Goof.’

There's more here. Once again I take these things one more step. Just the fact that he's able to hint that he wants to be a father in public is something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime.

America's First Trans Judge Can't Get Into India

This is amazing and painful to read. She's a judge. A brilliant woman who's spent most of her life working to make her life better. And she has to deal with this...

India has denied a visa to a transgender judge who was invited to the country to speak about LGBTI issues.

Alameda County Superior Court judge, Victoria Kolakowski was the first transgender person in the United State to become a trial court judge.

She was invited by the US Embassy in New Dehli to speak about LGBT law and policy as part its speaker program.

Here's the rest. As I've said before, LGBT equality is a global issue, not just a domestic one.
