Not Affiliated With "The Secret Tool"
I noticed I've been getting hits from a blog called The Secret Tool, and I'm not sure why. From what I can tell, TST is one of those ads that promise to teach people how to make money from a concept called auto-blogging. I'm not sure why they linked to me or what this is about, but For the record it was not something I solicited.
This blog has never been for profit and although I sometimes talk about books, products, or films I like I endorse no one. And certainly not a business that claims to make bloggers money. I believe that defeats the purpose of free and fair blogging, especially publishing blogs. And I would NEVER endorse something without knowing anything about it.
I will check into this further to see what it's about. And if you were referred here from The Secret Tool, I apologize that they have wasted you time.

Did anyone ever respond to you? I have the same thing happening on my blog and it's killing me not knowing what's happening.
No one responded so far. I'm just going to keep looking into it. Sorry you're getting this, too. I hate to be associated with anything I don't support.
It's just one of those spammer sites. They show up in your stats, but nobody is actually visiting your blog from that URL. It's just a trick to get you to click the link from the stats. Don't do it because that's exactly how it spreads.
Another person contacted me, as well. I hope we can figure this out. Thanks for the reply.
I know there is a way to report it. I'm just waiting to hear from them. I just hate the way they linked to me in their sidebar. Creepy!!
Same thing happened to my blog. Googled to find a solution and your blog is the only thing that came up. Anyone know how to report it?
Me too. Thanks for the info!
I'm bad at giving detailed directions for this kind of thing. But if you go into your settings there's a way to do it. You have to look around for a while to figure it out. But you can report spam and abuse. I'm waiting for a while to see if they take it down. I hate to get involved with google on things like this. I'm hoping that it will just go away. Sometimes these things do.
Thanks. Will try that out.... then again as long as it's not harming my site maybe it really will just go away...nope it will drive me crazy, must...stay...calm...
That's what I figured. So far I haven't seen that many more hits from the link, which means no one's paying attention to it...Ha! It also means what they are trying to sell isn't working. Guess that backfired on them.
Just started on my blog too :( They posted a comment which I will be deleting asap. Now traffic shows in the stats from that site. How annoying. I'm scared of even clicking on the link so don't know if they have linked to me on their page. I'm at mylifeinsin.blogspot.com
Must be it's making the rounds, so to speak. I haven't had that many more hits since I posted this. If I were getting too many from them, I would file abuse with google. But so far it doesn't seem to be too bad. If it gets worse for you let me know. Thanks.
Hi! I just started having the same problem today with this! I googled and your post came up. I agree with you, I don't make money from my blog and I definitely do not want my blog listed as a site this person (if it even is a person) likes. I will check back to see if you have any luck with Google and I will report them, too.
This happened to my blog too. Very annoying!
Wow. I now wonder how many others are dealing with this. I'm glad I wrote that post. My main concern is that someone will think I'm affliated with them and I figured I'd head that off fast.
But I haven't seen that many more hits from that web site here. Hopefully it will calm down. I do know that abuse can be filed, but it can take a while with google.
I just noticed a problem with this on my blog! I googled it and your blog came up, thinking I am going to report this asap. I clicked on the link, of course, before I realized that it probably wasn't a good idea to click on it. So strange that so many people are having this problem too!
to start a trend -
imitated your title --smile

I just had the same thing happen with my stats today (it showed that I was getting traffic from that site).
I reported them for spam with Blogger so hopefully something comes from it.
I'll be interested to see how google replies...if they reply at all. The problem with a lot of these online "deals" is they really don't care and customer support is limited.
I noticed the same thing a few days ago (last week?) on my blog and it's still there. Curious I did click on it last week and my blog is listed on it's side bar. Annoying. Hope someone posts a solution soon.
It seems to be getting worse. I'm going to look into it deeper this weekend.
Just happened to me today. I don't think there's much to worry about, this seems to be a blog trying to attract people to come & look. But it's usually wise not to click these links. And it's a bit annoying because I like to know who's really been looking at my blog.
Yes. I agree. I'm not seeing much traffic from it anymore, and I don't think it affected me at all. It's just annoying. I'm like I'd never do this to anyone, don't do it to me...lol.
I have the same here too, but I don't know if I should be worried.
Would love to know what it is about though. Good advertisement for a trick to earn loads of money, they sure will earn a good buck. Anything for a link?
Cheers Bart
At this point I've checked it out and I think it's harmless. It has that sound of too good to be true and I doubt they'll earn much money. I've been blogging and following bloggers for a long time and most do it because they love it, not because they want to make money on it.
I´m having the same problem and I have just reported it to Blogger.
If you get any results from google, please share. I haven't heard anything at all.
Yet another person affected. I couldn't figure out why they were linking to my blog- kdoscarology.blogspot.com. I'll post something similar to what you have posted and report it to Google as well.
Thank you!!!!
I've been getting hits from it, too. I found your blog post while looking for answers. I'll let you know if I actually *find* any answers.
Best of luck to you!
They seem to be all over the place. Thanks!
Heres a link to Blogger's Spam blog reporting tool. Im having an issue with the same blog, quite a few people are. Report 'em!

Thank you Josh Wieder for providing the link. Our website has also been hit by this annoying site. We don't want our site to be linked on a page we are not affiliated with. Our blog is a simple blog that features our products but we are not actually trying to sell anything on here, by any means. Spam is so frustrating! We hope that everyone has found a solution to this problem and that blogspot does something about it! Have a Merry Christmas everyone!
I just got the same problem! Googled it and found your blog. I just realized that there are many people have the same problem too.
I find the site kinda weird. I have 2 blogs and both of them reported to have some visits from secret tools. I clicked the link to Secret Tool from Burger with Chili Sauce's (my blog name) stats and the side bar of the site diplays Burger with Chili Sauce and link to it.
And then I clicked the link to Secret Tool from Yeah Food's (another blog of mine) stats, the site displays Yeah Food and link to Yeah Food.
Anyway, merry christmas.
That was basically the same experience I had.
Same story here. However, when I go to click on the link now, it says that the blog has been removed. Here's hoping!
