The Sad Way They Treat Closeted Gay Men; Ryan Field Books

The Sad Way They Treat Closeted Gay Men

I have never been a fan of outing gay men. I have never been a fan of speculating about whether a man is gay or not. It's personal and it's complicated. I think it's dangerous and stupid AF. And I don't like people who do that either. I have been known to tell people this to their faces, too.

With that said, I'm no huge fan of Lindsey Graham. But that has nothing to do with whether or not he's gay. I just don't like it when people speculate about whether or not any man is gay. That's no one's business.

Unfortunately, there are people who will do this, and they think they have every right to do this.

Graham, for years and years rumored to be gay, is rushing the confirmation of a Supreme Court justice who will likely rule on challenges to the Obergefell marriage decision that will undoubtedly curtail its scope, if not overturn it entirely, as Justices Alito and Thomas revealed last week as their goal.

Here's more. Notice how they say "rumored" without taking anything else into consideration. What if Graham is asexual? What if he's bisexual? What if he's a closeted transgender person? NO ONE should ever speculate on something like this. It's just too dangerous. And, you look stupid. You want to go after him for his politics I couldn't care less. Have a blast. I don't agree with anything Graham says. But you have no right to speculate on whether or not he's gay.

But more than that, this only makes it more difficult for the millions of gay men who are still in the closet and terrified to come out.

"A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he'll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who's husband died last year. I enjoyed this story."
