Armistead Maupin's Vision of Gay Life; They're Blaming Gaga for Bradley Cooper's Split with Irina; Ryan Field Books

Armistead Maupin's Vision of Gay Life

I have to admit that even though I've read so many gay classics, I'm not familiar with Maupin's work at all. So this is interesting to me, too. It's a piece about Maupin, and his life and work.

Maupin came out in 1974. Around the same time, he began writing Tales of the City, stories serialized in the San Francisco Chronicle revolving around a diverse group of friends living in the same San Francisco apartment building.

You can check it out, here. There's a final installment of Tales of the City on Netflix in June. I'm sure we'll hear more about it. For me it will be watching for the first time.

They're Blaming Gaga for Bradley Cooper's Split with Irina

I don't believe this at all, not a single word of it. However, I did see a lot of people on social media blaming Lady Gaga for the recent split between Bradley Cooper and his longtime partner. And this guy wrote a piece about why this is so wrong.

Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk have ‘amicably’ split after four years… and people are throwing Lady Gaga into it.

You can read more, here. There's a good video of Gaga and Cooper singing Shallow at the Oscars. I think people on social media need to mind their own business more.

Reader Reviews: "This story will stay with you and you will feel you know every character and the beauty of their home in the mountains of North Carolina. A sequel is in order and a film as well. Bravo Field"
