Hamburger Mary's Owner Calls It Gay Discrimination; Denver Bans Conversion Therapy; Kevin Hart Is Over Tweet Controversy

Hamburger Mary's Owner Calls It Gay Discrimination

This caught my eye because Tony and I actually looked into getting a Hamburger Mary franchise back in the 90s when they first started. At the time, it didn't look all that promising. But I guess they do okay because they're still around.

In any event, the owner of a Hamburger Mary's restaurant in Florida believes his business was singled out by the county health department because he's gay. The county health department said one of the workers tested positive for hepatitis, but there's a huge twist to this story that's a lot more involved.

You can read it all here.

Denver Bans Conversion Therapy

The Denver City Council recently banned conversion therapy for minors, and the world is applauding them.

It was a unanimous vote, in a move forward toward stopping this horrible practice that does more harm than good.

“Tonight’s vote to ban conversion therapy is our city coming together and saying with one voice that we will never allow our LGBTQ+ youth to be the targets of these dubious practices, and that we are here to support them.”

Here's the link.

Kevin Hart Is Over Tweet Controversy

Here it comes. The Kevin Hart thing continues, and this time while he's giving an interview to promote his new movie.

"I'm not giving no more explanation of who I am. I'm just done."

I didn't see the interview so I can't comment. In a general sense, though, I don't mind forgiving people as long as everyone is forgiven. No double standards.

Here's a link to more. He also says he will not host the Oscar Awards Show this year.
