If you're into bears...
Yes, the searingly unfunny repartee writes itself when it comes to the work of Argentinean artist Leonardo Gutierrez. He’s obsessed with Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros and compulsively turns out pieces that turn Mario, Luigi, Pikachu and Kirby into brawny, big-bellied bears.
Here's the rest. The photos are not too bad.
DILFs of Disneyland
I'm actually a fan of anything Instagram. And I follow all kinds of things. I'll have to check this one out myself.
Need proof? After nine months of darkness — that’s a decade in dog years! — the DILFs of Disneyland Instagram account is back in action.
Promising the “hottest dads at Disneyland & California Adventure,” the account will make you say “aww” nearly as many times as it makes you say “aww damn.”
There's more here.
How Lesbians Helped Fight AIDS
On a much more serious note, this is something that never seems to get as much attention as it should. Now there's a new book out titled, The Pox Lover, that goes into detail about what it was like to be an activist in the early days of AIDS.
“In my own circle in New York City, lesbians were very involved in AIDS activism and ACT UP,” d’Adesky says. “That was also true wherever I traveled.” Just don’t try to relegate their involvement to the friendly lesbian nurse stationed in the intensive care unit. “We were not simply caretakers. That’s a complete erasure of our contributions. We were equal with the gay men who were moderating the conversation.”
You can check this one out here. I think it looks like a fascinating book. I don't remember much myself about that time because I was too young, but I'd like to know more about what it was like back then.
