Twitter Reactions to Barry Manilow Coming Out; Dog Stolen By Grindr Date; Pictures of Putin In Drag

Twitter Reactions to Barry Manilow Coming Out

Even though I don't think this surprised anyone, it is significant and many people had reactions on Twitter. I saw most of them because it was trending all day. Some were funny, some were touching, and some came from people who have no idea what it's like to be gay and face the prospect of coming out.

Here's one of the funny ones...

Barry Manilow comes out as gay with his manager after a secret relationship of nearly 40 years. I can't keep a secret for 40 seconds.

I tweeted something similar to this...

It's not shocking that Barry Manilow came out.

It's just sad we live in a society where you have to come out and not be who you are.

But the most important thing is that I don't think I saw one negative reaction from anyone.

You can check this out here.

Dog Stolen by Grindr Date

This is probably one of the worst things I've heard about Grindr hook ups, ever.

One of the men was wielding a knife. The other had a metal pipe. Reed allegedly pulled out a handgun and told the victim to hand over his wallet and other valuables. Then the men insisted the victim bring them to his house so they could steal more of his stuff, including… his dog!

It gets even worse. The victim didn't report it to the police at first, but he posted about it on Facebook and found out that other people had the same bad experience with this group.

You can read the rest here.

Beware of everyone! There are people out there who want to hurt you. And you should know this. You should have been taught this at a young age.

Pictures of Putin In Drag

These pictures of Putin in campy drag have been banned in Russia. But the most important part about this is the censorship and how so much is banned.

It contains more than 4,000 banned pieces of media, including Hitler’s book Mein Kampf and German Nazi propaganda film The Eternal Jew.

Banned media also includes brochures by and about Jehovah’s Witnesses and research into the Beslan school siege which killed at least 385 people.

Also among them is now an image of president Vladimir Putin with make-up on his face.

You can read about this here. Censorship is never a good thing. Not anywhere. I've seen offensive photos of the Obamas, of Hillary Clinton, and of Donald Trump, and I don't like any of them and I wouldn't do that. I've seen offensive photos of almost every politician with a high profile. I'm not big on shaming anyone's looks, but that doesn't mean they should be banned.
