Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore Call it Quits...

I read about it here, where you can follow another link to the AP and read the details.

Demi Moore is quoted saying this:

"As a woman, a mother and a wife, there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life," she told the news service."

And I couldn't agree with her more...and I'm not even a woman a mother and wife.

Ashton Kuctcher tweeted this (Oh yes, the idiot tweeted it, in all his tweetified glory):

"I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK."

Love and Light? Who, seriously, speaks this way?

One thing I always thought everyone missed in all the "cougar, young guy" coverage was the very real issue of the differences in where their heads were at. It was all about how hot he was, and how hot SHE was, and how very hot they both were...Those relationships can and do work, but there are very real issues that have to be considered. I wonder if the Hollywood type portrayal makes it harder for couples like that in real life...

I don't know. But I would think that without all the pressures of Hollywood it might be easier.

And let's face it, Ashton Kutcher isn't the most talented actor in Hollywood. I'm sure even this publicity is something he needs and wants. I never underestimate anyone in positions like this. Their existence revolves around getting as much attention as possible. But I do think that Demi Moore could have lived without this mess, which is a shame for her.
